Call for Public Comments on the "SSC‑CSR Integrity Conformity Assessment Scheme Document (Draft)
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation for the activities of the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM).
We are pleased to announce that JFSM has launched a public consultation on the "SSC‑CSR Integrity Conformity Assessment Scheme Document (Draft)."
JFSM is committed to enhancing food integrity from both the perspectives of food safety and social responsibility. In addition to the JFS Standards framework for food safety, JFSM released the Social Responsibility Supply Chain Assessment Platform (SSCAP) in November 2024.
SSCAP and this Scheme are designed to be widely used, including by small and medium‑sized food businesses, and to support stepwise improvement. SSCAP serves as an entry‑level framework for self‑assessment of social responsibility initiatives, while this Scheme has been developed as its advanced form, enabling third‑party evaluation and certification (conformity assessment) of such initiatives.
These efforts embody JFSM's philosophy of "Start small, grow global," which applies not only to food safety but also to the field of social responsibility.
We sincerely invite comments from audit companies, food business operators, and all other stakeholders involved.
