Supporting Food Service Businesses such as Restaurants to Obtain JFS Standards / JFS Standards Acquisition Support Project Information

In order to expand the use of "JFS Standards", which is a third-party certification that can respond to the institutionalization of HACCP and the revised Food Sanitation Law, and to provide customers with peace of mind through food safety certification, the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) will support food service operators who wish to obtain JFS Standards by providing assistance with the costs of audits, etc. for acquisition of JFS Standards. JFSM will provide support to food service operators who wish to acquire the JFS standard.

In addition, JFSM will provide full cooperation to the selected companies in public relations after acquisition of the JFS standard, and will support them in communicating their food safety initiatives to the public.


■ Eligibility:

Food service operators newly acquiring JFS standards (food service)

Food service operators with multiple restaurants that are newly acquiring JFS standards (food service multi-site)

Food service operators include restaurants and other eating and drinking establishments, hotels and other facilities that provide food and beverages, meal service facilities, and facilities that manufacture boxed lunches, dairy products, etc.


■ Acquisition support eligible expenses:

Expenses related to audits of JFS standards

(Examples of eligible expenses: audit fees, registration fees, consulting fees *excluding consumption tax)


■ Acquisition support amount:

The subsidy rate is 100% and the maximum amount is 300,000 yen.

■ Preferential conditions:

Preference will be given to businesses that have acquired the JFS standard (Food Service Multi-site) and to applications for acquisition by restaurant businesses.


■ Application Requirements

Applicants must be able to complete new registration for the applicable JFS standard by the end of December 2024. (However, the deadline can be adjusted.) 2.
