We held a "Food Safety Seminar" in Thailand.

Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) held a "Food Safety Seminar" in Bangkok, Thailand on September 2, 2025. This seminar was conducted in a hybrid format combining an on-site venue and online participation, with approximately 50 attendees at the venue and approximately 180 participants online.

This seminar was made possible through a joint effort with International Certification and Compliance Co., Ltd. (ICC), Thailand's first JFS standard audit company to be registered.In addition to an overview of the JFS standard and an introduction to ICC's operations, the presentation included an explanation of the conformity assessment system by ACFS (Thailand's Bureau of Agricultural and Food Standards), a national agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Furthermore, the Taiwanese food certification program owner, the Total Quality Food Association (TQFA), introduced the advantages of market entry among Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan by leveraging mutual recognition between the JFS-B Plus standard and Taiwan's TQF-B Plus standard. presented the advantages of market entry in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan through mutual recognition of the JFS-B Plus standard and Taiwan's TQF-B Plus standard.

At the beginning of the seminar, a ceremony was held to commemorate ICC becoming the first JFS standard audit company registered in Thailand. JFSM considers the overseas expansion of JFS standards a key initiative, and this seminar was held as part of that effort. We will continue to collaborate with relevant overseas organizations to enhance food safety standards and promote the international adoption of Japan-originated food standards.
