Notice of Commencement of Issuance of the TQF-B Plus Letter of Mutual Recognition to Businesses that Have Acquired the JFS-B Plus Standard

STANDARD & GUIDELINES

Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) has signed an agreement with Total Quality Food Association (TQFA) for the automatic mutual recognition of the JFS-B Plus and TQF-B Plus standards*.
This arrangement allows businesses that have acquired the JFS-B Plus standard to receive equivalent recognition to the TQF-B Plus standard without any additional application or cost.
This initiative is expected to facilitate access to the Taiwanese market for Japanese companies and promote exports by leveraging the food safety framework between the two countries.

As proof of mutual recognition, JFSM and TQFA will issue a "Letter of Mutual Recognition."
Issuance will begin on October 8, 2025.
The Letter of Mutual Recognition will be provided together with the JFS-B Plus Certificate of Conformity to businesses that newly acquire the JFS-B Plus standard.

For businesses that have already obtained the JFS-B Plus standard, the Letter will be issued sequentially without the need for any procedures.
The Letter of Mutual Recognition will be delivered through the Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) that issued the JFS-B Plus Certificate of Conformity.

*The TQF-B Plus standard is a food safety conformity certification system operated by TQFA in Taiwan and has the same requirements as the JFS-B Plus standard.
