To address challenges and questions regarding the acquisition of food safety management certifications--which are essential for exporting--the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will set up a "Food Safety Management Certification Consultation Desk" for businesses aiming to export food at "FOODEX JAPAN in Kansai 2026," to be held at Intex Osaka from July 22 to 24, 2026.

When exporting food products overseas, there is an increasing number of cases where business partners and distributors require companies to obtain international food safety management certifications such as JFS-C, FSSC 22000, SQF, and BRCGS.

At the consultation desk, expert consultants will provide one-on-one guidance on topics such as the differences between each certification system, the process for obtaining certification, establishing internal systems, and clarifying the certification requirements specified by export destinations.
The consultant is Mr. Mitsuhiro Naito, who also serves as a technical advisor to the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM). Consultations are free of charge and require advance reservations (30 minutes per company).
To participate, you must both register to attend FOODEX JAPAN in Kansai 2026 and make a reservation for the consultation desk.
