JFS-C Standard Version 3.2 Achieves Recognition Against the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements Version 2024
The Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) announces that the JFS-C Standard Version 3.2 and the JFS-C Certification Programme Document Version 3.2 have achieved recognition against the latest Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Benchmarking Requirements Version 2024.
This marks the first recognition granted to a Certification Programme Owner (CPO) in the food processing sector.
The recognised scopes include manufacturing sectors CⅠ, CⅡ, CⅢ, and CⅣ, and now additionally the newly added scope K, covering the production of chemicals and bio‑chemicals used as food ingredients or processing aids.
With this recognition, the JFS-C Standard further strengthens its alignment with international food safety requirements and supports enhanced accountability and trust for business partners in both domestic and global markets.
JFS-C remains the only Japan-originated food safety management standard to have achieved GFSI recognition.
JFSM will continue to support food businesses in advancing their food safety practices.
