Call for Participation in Business Meetings with Vietnamese Food Distributors and Retailers

A business meeting with Vietnamese food distributors and retailers will be held on January 20, 2022, with the aim of promoting overseas business by utilizing the JFS standard and certification system for food business operators who are thinking of developing overseas markets and exporting their products. This event will be held as part of the FY2021 Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries-subsidized "Export Environment Improvement Project for Processed Foods Using Standards and Certification.


In light of the new coronavirus infection situation, the business meeting will be held online (ZOOM interview), so there is no need to travel to the site to participate. The Association will also arrange for the translation of materials, interpretation during business meetings, and coordination with local market participants. Businesses can prepare product samples and materials in advance and participate in business talks on the day of the event, making it an easy event to attend with little burden.

Date and time: Thursday, January 20, 2022, 11:00 - 18:00 (Japan time)


Each business meeting will last about 30 minutes to an hour (time subject to change)


Location: Online (ZOOM interview format / consecutive interpretation available)


Participation fee: Free


Participants will be required to bear the costs of communication (internet communication, etc.), samples used in the meeting, and transportation of samples to designated locations in Japan.


Eligibility: Japanese domestic food businesses that have obtained or plan to obtain JFS standards


Number of participating businesses: 10


In the event of a large number of applications, the application will be selected after consultation between the association and the business meeting operator.

Online business meetings with food distributors and retailers in Vietnam.


The Association will arrange for the translation of materials into Vietnamese and interpretation on the day of the business meeting, so businesses can participate at no cost in terms of language support.


Participating businesses are required to send samples to the local market in advance (*consultation required for products other than room temperature products) and prepare product descriptions as necessary. Business negotiations will be conducted on the day of the event based on feedback.

Businesses that have applied for participation will be contacted separately regarding procedures up to the day of the event.
