[Job Opening] Assistant Manager / Manager Leading the Development, Operation, and International Standardization of the JFS Standards (JFS Division)

ACTIVITY & OTHER

The Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager for its JFS Division to lead the development and operation of the JFS Standards--Japan's food safety management system standard--and to drive efforts related to international standardization.

The JFS Standards are increasingly adopted not only within Japan but also overseas. Through promoting the JFS Standards, developing human resources, disseminating information, and participating in the creation of international rules, JFSM aims to strengthen governance across the food industry, optimize management costs, and enhance consumer trust.

This position plays a key role in connecting Japan's food safety practices with the global community. In addition to overseeing the development and operation of the standards, responsibilities include engaging with international rule‑making bodies such as the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and collaborating with certification bodies and experts both in Japan and abroad.

We welcome candidates who wish to leverage their experience in food safety or quality assurance while taking on new challenges in system development and international projects. The role is primarily remote, with flexible on‑site work as needed.
