As part of the Japan-ASEAN Human Resource Development Project for the Food Industry, organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, a Food Value Chain Endowed Lecture was held at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 8 July 2026.
JFSM President Masanori Kotani delivered a lecture titled "Enhance Food Integrity."

During the lecture, he introduced international approaches to food safety management, including the JFS Standards, as well as emerging topics in the food industry such as Food Safety Culture, Food Defense, and Food Fraud Prevention.
He also presented JFSM's initiatives to promote an integrated approach to food safety and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

According to the post-lecture survey, the session received a high satisfaction score of 4.75 out of 5.
Participants commented that the lecture had deepened their understanding of food safety management and would be useful for their future studies and professional activities.

JFSM hopes that this lecture will contribute to enhancing the understanding of food safety management across the ASEAN region and support the development of future professionals in the food industry.
